Engr. Justice O. Derefaka is the Technical Adviser (TA) – Gas Business & Policy Implementation, To The Honorable Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, the Chairman – Capacity Building Development (CBD) Subcommittee, National Gas Expansion Program (NGEP), Program Manager (PM) – Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Programme (NGFCP) and Program Manager (PM) – Autogas Subcommittee, National Gas Expansion Program (NGEP) Ministry of Petroleum Resources (MPR).

As the Technical Adviser (TA) on Gas Business & Policy Implementation to the Honorable Minister of State, he steers & drives the implementation of the National Gas Policy built on the policy goals of the Federal Government for the gas sector; removing the barriers affecting investment & development of the gas sector, delivery of critical gas infrastructure, discontinue with a centrally planned national market development while opting for a project-based & market opportunity-led approach as a more effective way to grow gas markets.

He also manages the overall vision of the FG to make Nigeria an attractive gas-based industrial nation as well as giving primary attention to meeting local gas demand requirements, developing a significant presence in international markets and to move Nigeria from a crude oil export-based economy to an attractive gas-based industrial economy.

As the Program Manager (PM) of the Nigeria Gas Flare Commercialization Programme (NGFCP) + AutoLPG in the National Gas Expansion Programme (NGEP); he manages the NGFCP programme designed as the strategy to implement the policy objectives of the FGN for the elimination of gas flares with potentially enormous multiplier and development outcomes for Nigeria.

As the PM AutoLPG, his focus is to align and deliver in line with The NGEP’s cardinal objective of reinforcing & expanding gas supply as well as stimulate demand in the country through the effective & efficient mobilization and utilisation of all available assets, resources and infrastructure in the country.“
